How to get the best out of your Dishwasher
Knowing how to get the best out of your dishwasher is half the battle in the fight to secure clean and shining dishware. The other half, is putting what you know into practice. We can help, since we’re Finish, and we know about this sort of thing. All it takes is a little care, and a few great dishwashing products.
In preparing your dishwasher for a wash, we don’t really mean the dishes! Simply scrape away any large pieces of food into a garden waste bag or bin, and place in the bottom rack of your dishwasher. Here it’s best to start from the back with the larger plates, and the smaller plates can be put in the front. Easy! Now, select the wash you think is best – a high wash for items like cooking trays and other greased on items, and a lower for delicate glassware is generally safe advice, but your dishwasher manufacturer will generally give you more guidance on your individual dishwasher. Once selected, pop in a dishwasher tablet, and close the door.
Now this part is all up to the dishwasher. Let it do its thing, it’s taking care of the hard work for you. In fact, now might be a good time to dust or clean off the cupboards, table tops and drawers where you store your items, to help keep them clean after the wash.
So, once you’ve emptied the dishwasher and put everything away, you may think the task is done. In most cases, you’d be right, but we recommend washing your dishwasher with Finish dishwasher cleaner every month. Finish dishwasher cleaner helps clean the hidden but vital parts of your machine, clearing build-up of grease and limescale from the inside of the spray arms, hose and filter.
Peace of Mind
While you leave a full loads humming away in a dishwasher with the knowledge that your dishes can come up shiny and clean, and are protected after a cycle, you’ll also know that you’re getting the best out of your time – no more rinsing in the sink, or individually washing cutlery. A dishwasher is as simple as putting in a Finish dishwasher tablet, pressing a button, and closing the door. Now go out and enjoy yourself!
Love your Dishwasher. Give it Finish.
