With some of the best Christmas markets found around the city, here’s where you should be heading this December for all your gifting needs.  

Mosman Twilight Christmas Market – December 10
As one of the top shopping precincts in Sydney, Mosman is the perfect place for a festive twilight market. The Mosman Markets, which usually only occur once a month, are held a second time in December (on the 10th) to give Sydneysiders an extra opportunity to stock up on treats and presents. Unlike the standard daytime markets, the Mosman Twilight Christmas Market opens at 4.30pm and runs to 9.30pm. With approximately 140 stalls packed with exquisite artworks and scrumptious holiday foods, you’ll find everything you need for Santa’s arrival here.

Hornsby Craft Fair Christmas Special – December 10
Need some quality, quirky gifts to give your favourite people on Christmas Day? You’ll find plenty of choices at the Hornsby Craft Fair Christmas Special. Whether you’re on the hunt for funky artworks, lovingly handmade jewellery or stylish crafts, there’s something here to suit any taste. With the fair running until 8pm on a Thursday, this market is also perfect for locals to head to after work.

Paddington Christmas Night Market – December 17 
‘Tis the season! Paddington market will be hosting an amazing twilight Christmas market, so you can shop and eat under the stars. You’ll find the market at the historic Paddington Uniting Church building, where hand-picked designers will be selling beautiful, handcrafted items. Exploring these markets, you will discover gourmet treats, arts and crafts, fashion and children’s stocking fillers. By doing your shopping here, you’ll be supporting charity as well as local artists – in true Christmas spirit.

The Beaches Market – December 19 
If you’re looking for only the freshest ingredients for your Christmas Day feast, The Beaches Market is a must. At these markets, you will find farm-fresh produce including both organic and conventional fruit and vegetables. Whether you need delicious dairy products, cheeses, tasty cakes or other yummy treats, you’re sure to find just what you need to put on the best Christmas lunch yet. Better yet, make a day of it by grabbing a coffee, having some lunch and perusing interesting fashion, homewares and lots of other great stalls. Normally open every Friday, these markets will also be open on Saturday 19th to help you get everything ready for your Christmas celebrations.

Want to bring your 4-legged friend? Unfortunately, this market does not allow dogs within the market area; however, they do have a ‘dog parking area’ on the grass – so you can leave your pup in the safety of the large grassed area while you shop!
